The route leads over forest tracks and alpine trails through scenic high pastures to the Schatzberg
Start from the car park just after the Jausenstüberl Oberthaler and follow the forest track and the signs for"Schatzberg" up to theZottaalm. Take the trail leading through meadows to the Schatzbergalm (Schatzbergbahn top station) and continue for approx. 30 min to the peak. You will be rewarded with a magnificent view of the Alpbachtal and the Wildschönau. The beautiful summit cross with the mountain panorama in the background and you in the foreground is definitely worth a snapshot.
Directly below the summit is the Gipfö Hit mountain restaurant. The inviting terrace is ideal for a stop for something to eat and drink!
Allow approx. 2 h 30 min for the walk up, approx. 2 h for the walk back down to the car park. Take the same trails / tracks back!
