Alpbach Bike and Hike Alpbach Bischofer Joch - Hochstrickl
A winning combination of pedalling and walking! Cycle on an E-Bike to the Bischofer Saddle and hike up to the Hochstrickl.
Bike:
This beautiful mountain bike tour starts in the village centre of Alpbach and leads out towards the valley. At the "Bischofen" farm, the MTB route 304 leads uphill to the Bischofer Alm and on to the Bischofer Saddle (approx. 1 hour). Park your bike here!
Hike:
The hike now leads up a steep trail for approx. 250 m towards Gratlspitze (western flank). After approx. 40 minutes, you reach a cosy clearing and the "Hochstrickl" summit cross at 1,787 m. The effort for the ascent is rewarded with fantastic views!
The return route follows the same route to your. Take the same route back to the Bischofen junction and via "Trat" back to the village centre to the starting point.
The Bischofer Käsalm is a great place to stop for a bite to eat and something to drink (check opening times).
