Summer Nights Open Air Cinema in the Alpbachtal

From 9th - 16th August 2024, the WIR31 Summer Nights Open Air Cinema will take place at seven unusual locations. The towns of Alpbach, Brixlegg, Brandenberg, Münster, Kramsach, Reith i. A., Radfeld and the town of Rattenberg become the impressive backdrop for the annual open-air cinema under the stars. The screenings start at 9:00 p.m. each night (except in Radfeld and Reith i.A. at 8:15 pm).

Plot:

Karin (Maren Kroymann) spent a year in New Zealand to work as a granny au pair. Now she is back in Germany with her husband Harald (Günther Maria Halmer) and can hardly believe her eyes: could it be that she has simply been replaced by the widow Sigrid (Imogen Kogge) during her absence? Without further ado, she decides with her friends Philippa (Barbara Sukowa) and Gerhard (Heiner Lauterbach) to take over the management of the school shop "Schlüsselkinder", perhaps this will change her mind. But easier easier said than done. Because the little ones keep the three of them on their toes. Karin, Philippa and Gerhard don't let things get them down that easily and so they manage to face not only the challenges of the shop, but also their very own.
