Corpus Christi Procession

The Feast of Corpus Christi (Latin Sollemnitas Sanctissimi Corporis et Sanguinis Christi, Feast of the Most Holy Body and Blood of Christ') is a Solemnity in the Church Year of the Catholic Church, celebrating the abiding presence of Jesus Christ in the Sacrament of the Eucharist.

After Mass in the church, everyone gathers in the church square. Following a salute by the rifle company, the line of people in festive costumes sets off on a procession. Passing lovingly tended houses, the congregation reaches the Weiler Hof - stopping on numerous occasions at specially erected altars decorated with flowers. Praying, singing and praising the Lord they walk back to the parish church where the procession ends.
