The Tiefenbach Gorge between Kramsach and Brandenberg

Hikers can walk along the Triftsteig trail for approx. 1,5 hours and have a break at the Jausenstation Tiefenbachklamm directly at the end of the gorge or, after a further 30-40 minutes, at the Jausenstation Stegerstall.

Top highlight: The viewing platform at the most spectacular point of the gorge!

Requirements:
Sturdy shoes, surefootedness and a head for heights.
Gorges are not exempt to Alpine dangers. In case of bad weather we strongly recommend not to hike through gorges.

Climbing belts with safety harnesses for small children are available at the Jausenstation Tiefenbachklamm or at Sport Ossi in Kramsach (next to the defunct Sonnwendjochbahn chair lift). Both the Jausenstation Tiefenbachklamm as well as Sport Ossi charge a refundable deposit of € 20,00 for the harnesses.

Due to safety reasons, the gorges are not accessible between November and approx. middle of April and on days with heavy rain! Please do not walk through the gorge in ice and snow!
